April 27, 11am to 3pm
Join Northwest Autism Center for the ninth annual 5k walk/run, Steps for Autism, this Saturday, April 27, in Riverfront Park. Hundreds of walkers, runners and strollers are expected to help send off Autism Awareness Month with a 5k.
This event is designed to promote community inclusion with families, health care providers, teachers and the rest of the community walking side by side. Get your steps in, then check out the vendor village hosting autism-friendly businesses and resource providers. This event will go on, rain or shine, and is set to run from 11am to 3pm, with the 5k starting at the Ice Age Playground at noon.
