Cheers to Health and Beauty This Season

Fall has arrived here in North Idaho in all its splendor and glory, making the transition from summer to fall welcomed and appreciated. With the kids back in school and the carefree days of summer concluded, we find ourselves back into the swing of routine and schedules. Now is a wonderful time to put some focus on yourself, both in health and beauty.

In this issue of Coeur d’Alene Living Local, we’ve put together some wonderful stories you’re sure to enjoy. Looking for a healthy getaway? Our travel article takes you to San Diego, where The Fairmont Grand Del Mar and the Kona Kai Resort will both promise a wellness vacation to soothe the mind and body. Our feature story invites you to explore what's trending in skin care, and the top treatments to keep you aging gracefully. Looking for ways to inspire active play for your child's health? We’ve got you covered there as well.

Our local features are sure to once again inspire. We had the opportunity to interview Jon Totten who, along with his crew, competed in a 750-mile engineless boat race to Alaska, representing his nonprofit organization Dogsmile Adventures. Learn more about Safe Passage and their mission, and how you can support that mission by attending A Martini Affair. Meet Rita Roth of Borah Elementary School, Coeur d'Alene Public Schools' Teacher of the Year for 2022-2023. In this issue, we also put the spotlight on local businesses Lush Studio Beauty & Wellness, PURE Medical Spa, and Craft Tree Care. And don’t forget to take a peek at all the great events coming to Coeur d’Alene this fall—like Downtown Coeur d’Alene’s annual Oktoberfest!

We hope you enjoy this issue of Coeur d’Alene Living Local as much as we did creating it for you.
