Celebrate autumn with the Kootenai County Farmers Market!
Fall has arrived, and the Kootenai County Farmers Market has plenty in store to celebrate the fall harvest. First in the lineup is their annual Fall Fest, happening Saturday, September 28, at the market’s Hayden location at the corner of Highway 95 and Prairie Avenue. From 9am to 1:30pm, market-goers will be treated to a variety of fresh produce, artisan goods and food vendors, seasonal activities such as pumpkin painting and scarecrow making for the kids, as well as live music provided by Monroe Bridge.
Next up, on Saturday, October 12, is Customer Appreciation at the Hayden location, where some of the market’s vendors will be serving up homemade soup as a “thank you” for supporting the market all season.
To close out the 2024 market season, don’t miss Kootenai County Farmers Market’s annual Harvest Festival, happening 10am to 3pm Saturday, October 26, on Main Street in Coeur d’Alene’s Riverstone. “Folks are welcome to join us for one final Saturday market,” shares Natalie Selbe, market manager. “There is trick or treating for the kids, shopping and food for all!”
Fall produce should be plentiful, Natalie affirms, with pumpkins, squashes, corn, onions, potatoes, greens, tomatoes, garlic, apples, plums and more! Mushrooms, microgreens and honey should all be available too, as well as jams and jellies made with fruits from the summer harvests.
